Minecraft@Home

Minecraft@Home is a research project to locate seeds, features, the unknown, and the unseen in the block game, Minecraft.

Minecraft is currently the best-selling video game of all time. Although we have no affiliation with Microsoft, Mojang, or the development of Minecraft itself; this project was born out of necessity. Many members of the community have the desire to push the game, which keeps on giving, to its limits.

The listing of Minecraft@Home allows users to join the project more efficiently. Volunteer compute resources are essential to the success of our research, as some elements require high volumes of computing power in order to retrieve results.

As many may have seen in the latest batch of workunits, we have had a series of errors and issues. We believe these to be mostly ironed out.
BOINC is a learning experience for us all. Grid computing technology is very new to us, so there has, of course, been some teething issues.
We ask the community to bear with us as we perfect our development workflows and move to release more projects and exciting news in the coming weeks.

Along with other new platforms for this project, SSG/One-Chunk/One-Block 1.7/1.8 is available for Microsoft Windows running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T CPU.
Since I don't have a powerful enough GPU to run previous work, I am running Minecraft@Home on CPU for the first time now

Hello everyone,

We didn't announce the launch of OneChunk SSG here even though we teased it already so this post is announcing it officially. This is our first CPU project and 2500 credits will be awarded by tasks since all have been designed to last approximately the same time. The calculation for the reward is based on the current runtime of a task, power draw of a CPU and our past GPU credits attribution.

This is a long-awaited project that is meant to find all seeds with 11 eyes stronghold for Minecraft 1.7/1.8.

Thanks to the one-chunk project, Minecraft@Home has found an extremely rare seed (1 in 25 quintillion), that allows entry the end in 18 seconds.

Is Minecraft still the best-selling game? And there are no competitors? What game is in second place after it? Just hope it’s not PUBG or something of that kind.
My taste in games is unusual, and it’s become even weirder in the last few years. Firstly, I almost haven’t played anything in the last few years because I have no time or mood for that. But sometimes I want to relax and play something interesting and beautiful. But most 3D games are not beautiful, so I choose 2D. This format helps to transfer much more emotional and informational meaning. Just look at GRIS, Spiritfarer, or the Diablo series. They are full of meaning, characters, and interesting drops like a crown of thieves in d2r. And this all is thanks to the 2D format.
